The Twittique / TL;DR
Mary Stuart. Summertide’s bold two-woman adaptation of Schiller’s classic creates a gripping play-within-a-play. Subtly (at first) interrogating the text with contrary, post-feminist arguments, this ingenious take successfully critiques & eloquently engages with the original.
Forces of nature both, it is utterly divine to watch @mariecolombe.lob and @paulineprevostdb do battle with one another in @summertidetheatreco's sensational reworking of Freidrich Schiller's 'Mary Stuart'. Shivers, goosebumps, a racing heart… what a fantastic way to end the last day of #edfringe2021! 🔥🔥🙌🏾(Don't worry everyone, we're still reviewing shows!)
