Scatter. Patrick McPherson ditches sketch comedy (& his twin) to depict a grieving man’s return to his ancestral home (& its curse) in this modern gothic horror. Characters occasionally feel undercooked, but the slick, indie-cinema style, elegant script & copious jump scares more than deliver. 4/5
